Brief Bio:
·
Dr.
Simon Xu is a Full Professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology at Algoma University where he is faculty since 2002. He
has been the department chair/School Director since 2009. Prior to that, he was working in the
School of Computer Science of University
of Windsor,
Canada. He has also conducted the post-doctoral research in the University of Manitoba, Canada, for a few years.

He
obtained a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in Geology
from the University
of Liege,
Belgium.
·
His
current research interests are in Software Engineering, with focus on Software
Evolution and Software Development.
·
He
serves as program committee member to many conferences. He has also chaired seven
IEEE international conferences and been invited to give a few keynotes for IEEE conferences.
