Interesting about the songbirds with absolute pitch; I seem to recall reading a study that showed that people who live in society’s with tonal languages have a far higher incidence of absolute pitch than those of us who do not–I wonder if that’s a result of natural selection or of early exposure? (I know, a combination.)
