    Well, we will be moving on to another topic, however, if you are interested in stuff like that there are a couple of good papers to look at, one is by Krebs and the other is Wilkie and Willson, they are both from the early 90s, hope this helps!

  2. Talking about “taking a fix” –that’s pretty much the only way to navigate the more rustic areas of Central Park. It is a huge park, larger than Monaco (the country, and no, I’m not kidding), and there are many places where you have no idea where you are by looking around. But you can always look up and see buildings–and that’s the way out.

    For those who are interested in early sailing-type navigation, Longitude by Dava Sobel is excellent.
