Speaking of method acting (which came up as an aside in this class), my favorite story on the subject: During the filming of Marathon Man, to prepare for a certain scene Dustin Hoffman stayed up for days and didn’t wash, to achieve the look and feeling of the character. When Laurence Olivier saw him, he said, “My dear boy, you look absolutely awful. Why don’t you try acting?”

You know, I have always wanted ot act, but have really never done it. I think it may be fun. Yeah that quote from Olivier is a classic.
