great series of lectures but as a retired uk general practitioner (who was at university in the sixties ) i just have never seen people using / accepting heroin as a recreational drug. in a five doctor practice with 13 thousand patients we had one heroin addict. i know thats one persons experience but Dave seems to put forward a view that the whole uk is awash with hard drug users – and its not!
Let’s put it this way, From what I have been told (admittedly annecdotally) and stuff I have read I can say that H is much more accepted in the UK than in Canada. Now this may be a tad out of date though.
