Interesting that non-humans prefer exaggerated features, but humans don’t–I seem to recall reading about a study (perhaps 15 years ago?) where it was determined that more “average” faces, produced by using digitally averaged composite photos, were rated most attractive, and the more photos used in the composites, the more attractive they were considered. I wonder why that might be.
The funny thing is, with human faces chimps perform like people. So do other apes and monkeys. There is something strange about human faces.
