That title should be self explanatory…

Hi back, Dave! I am now famous!
Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon, blowing bubbles, biking backwards…Ah, the Berensteins!
European royal families are extremely inbred, and looking at the family portraits shows scary similarities, but you can tell them all apart, so even with all the reinforced bad recessives, there’s quite a bit of variation, no?
The best places to look is the (former) royal families of Spain and Portugal. Many deformities, both physical and mental pop up, as well as a lot of infertility.
That, to me, was the one Berenstein book that I ever liked.
Hah! I was thinking specifically of Goya and even more of Velazquez, and their portraits of Spain’s royalty.
And yeah, most of the Berenstein books don’t scan properly so are annoying. But the small people in my extended family have generally had a fondness for Inside, Outside, Upside Down.
