I can’t think of any Word error that would improve the text in a file, since writing is very rule-bound and breaking rules just makes it unintelligible–but I guess it’s conceivable that a file might be corrupted in such a way as to change the font, and that might make it look better. (Especially if Comic Sans was used anywhere in the document.)

    Interesting, the connection between scientists and autism. I suppose one might argue that as jobs in science/engineering/technology become more important, practitioners of these fields become more fit (earn more and/or have higher social status and so are considered more desirable mates), and the tendencies that lead to success in those fields might become reinforced, leading to an increase in autism. (If, in fact there has actually been an increase in autism, rather than an increase in the diagnosis of autism.)

  2. The science and autism thing is fascinatinvg to me, and would be even if I did not have a kid with it. It reinforces the notion that I have heard that autistic people have ‘hyper male’ brains. Very into patterns, attention, spatial skills etc.
